Lone Point Cellars is the most recent Washington winery Blind Renaissance has had the honor of working with. We took a different approach to their labels in design and printing that was inspired by the family's love for hunting—the result: a unique brand to pair with a beautiful estate.
The Winery
Lone Point Cellars is a winery and estate vineyard located in Brewster, WA. On top of selling their own wines, their property hosts a tasting room and restaurant, a large vineyard and rental cottages. This is a space for people to spend an evening enjoying wine and good food, take a weekend getaway or host an event for work or family.
BR's Goal
Create a brand around this small Washington winery that stays consistent in labels, print materials and web. We took the family’s love of hunting and their vizsla dogs and turned it into a sophisticated and unique brand.
Inspiration
Lone Point Cellars is owned and operated by a family that have a passion for hunting. When we sat down with them to discuss initial concepts they relayed this passion to us and told stories about their treasured family vizsla dogs.
Process
After drawing up initial design sketches based on the metalwork created for shotguns for the wine labels, our team contacted a metalsmith from Kentucky. We worked with him to bring the imaginations of a metal label to life.
Initial Metalwork Scans
The finished metalwork pieces (seen right) were scanned and later given to the winery to hang in their tasting room.
Our designers modified them to bring out the vibrant metallic colors and add all information required by the TTB.
Using hot foils in the print process will create a metallic finish but will also create a significant expense for the client. Our team created print files specific for printing the entire piece on metallic paper. This completed our metalwork design with a beautiful print finish and a cost-effective print method for our client.
Fine Label Design
Photography
Our goal of this shoot was to show off the beauty of Lone Point’s winery, inside and out. The property includes a tasting room and restaurant, a large vineyeard, and rental cottages.
Print Materials
We created a trifold brochure for the winery to show off their beautiful restaurant space, rental cottages, and overall venue for events. They have so much to offer and we wanted to highlight all they had to offer using branding themes and photography.
Website
The website was built as a simplistic tool for consumers to use to shop wine, discover information on the winery, and view upcoming events.
